How do you bring up wishes respectfully?

Why communication matters at an escort meeting

An escort meeting stands or falls on clear arrangements. What you have in mind and what the escort offers only becomes clear in conversation.

Many men do not know how to raise a wish without coming across as pushy. That uncertainty is common. It also causes part of the misunderstandings about escorts that a single question beforehand would have prevented.

Clear arrangements protect you too. They spare you the awkward position of having to negotiate something in the middle of the meeting.

When to bring up your wishes

As early as possible. Naming a wish before the booking gives the escort the chance to answer honestly before anything becomes binding.

Before booking

Read the profile carefully. Which services are listed? What does the description say? Many escorts set out their offer openly, and part of your questions is answered right there.

If something is still open after that, raise it at first contact.

At first contact

Clear and matter-of-fact. Language that is too explicit feels uncomfortable, hints that are too vague lead straight back into misunderstanding.

Describe what you have in mind without phrasing it as a demand. Ask whether it is possible. And leave room for a no.

During the meeting

Wishes also come up spontaneously. Raise them calmly. What was declined beforehand stays declined, and no wish justifies pushing.

How to phrase things without applying pressure

What you say is one thing. How you say it is another.

  • Name your wish concretely. Hints create uncertainty.
  • Phrase it as a question. "Would that work for you?" lands differently than an implied assumption.
  • Stay matter-of-fact. Excessive apologies feel as odd as justifications.
  • Ask once. A repetition is no longer asking, it is pressure.

What to do when the answer is no

Accept it. A no needs no justification and is not negotiable.

Escorts decide for themselves what they offer. If a particular wish is central for you and cannot be met here, pick another profile. That works better than continuing to negotiate. How to handle a refusal without letting it spoil your evening is covered in the Escort Guide under How do I handle rejection?

What Swiss law says

Since 1 July 2024, "no means no" applies in Switzerland.

The revised sexual criminal law rewrote Article 189 of the Swiss Criminal Code and Article 190. A sexual assault now occurs as soon as a person shows through words or gestures that they do not agree and the other party overrides that. Violence or threat is no longer required. A state of shock, known as freezing, also counts as a sign of refusal. SWI swissinfo.ch summarised the changes.

For an escort meeting this means: arrangements are not a courtesy ritual. They are the legal frame you are both operating in.

Bringing up role play and fetishes

Anything can be raised. What matters is when.

Settle wishes like these before the meeting. The escort needs the chance to decide calmly. A wish that first lands on the table in the room puts the other person under pressure, however politely it is phrased. Many profiles list role play as a service anyway, which settles the basic question.

Say briefly what you have in mind. You do not need to dress it up, and you do not need to go into detail before you know whether there is interest at all. How to phrase it is covered in the Escort Guide under How do I raise sensitive topics such as role play or fetishes?

If she declines, the topic is closed. If she agrees, sort out the details before you meet.

Frequently asked questions

How do I discuss wishes or preferences respectfully?

Openly and without pressure. Phrase it as a question, not as an expectation. A no is to be accepted at any point. The Escort Guide covers this in more detail under How do I discuss wishes or preferences respectfully?

What is allowed, what is off limits?

What is consensual and legal is allowed. Everything else is not. The Escort Guide sets out the line under What is allowed, what is off limits?

When is the right moment for a special wish?

Before the booking. Raising it only at the meeting takes away the escort's chance to think it over.

What do I do if my wish is turned down?

Nothing. A refusal usually says nothing about you, it says something about the offer. Accepting it without discussion puts you in a better position for the next booking.

In short

  • Wishes belong before the booking, not in the meeting.
  • A question lands differently than a demand.
  • A no is a complete answer and needs no justification.
  • Since July 2024 that is also the legal position in Switzerland.

With that in mind you need no further preparation. How a meeting otherwise runs and what counts as appropriate is covered in Escort meeting: what is appropriate and what is not. And if you want to see who offers which service, the services overview shows it directly.
