Verification Policy

On gingr.ch, what has been checked and what has not is made visible. Verification protects users and escorts alike and makes it transparent which profile has which level of trust.

This policy describes the four visible labels, the KYC process behind them and the consequences of missing or failed verification.

The four labels at a glance

Three labels refer to the escort profile and one to the booking flow. Each label stands for a concrete check that has actually taken place.

• Verified: the identity of the escort has been confirmed based on an official identity document.
• Age Verified: the stated age has been confirmed based on an official identity document.
• Content Verified: photos and videos have been reviewed and actually show the escort behind the profile.
• Secure Booking: booking and payment are handled fully via gingr.ch, including escrow protection.

If a label is missing, the corresponding check has not been carried out. The functions available for a profile depend on the combination of labels.

Verified

The Verified label means that the escort's identity has been confirmed by gingr.ch. The basis is an official identity document such as a passport, Swiss identity card or residence permit.

The check covers:

• authenticity check of the document
• comparison of document data with profile information
• biometric comparison between the face and the document photo (liveness check)

Profiles with Verified can be booked via the platform. The chat feature is enabled.

Age Verified

The Age Verified label confirms that the escort is of legal age. The age shown on the profile has been checked against the official identity document.

The minimum age for all escorts on gingr.ch is 18 years. Any activity involving minors is excluded and is reported to the authorities without delay in case of suspicion.

Users who want to see only profiles with verified age can filter specifically for Age Verified.

Content Verified

The Content Verified label confirms that the photos and videos published actually show the escort behind the profile.

The check compares the content with the person identified during the KYC process. This prevents the use of other people's images, stock photos or manipulated representations.

Content Verified is an additional step after identity verification and is only granted if Verified is already in place.

Secure Booking

Secure Booking refers to bookings that are handled entirely via gingr.ch. Payment is processed by licensed financial service providers and held in escrow until the service has been completed.

The platform's cancellation rules, protective mechanisms and support services then apply automatically. Details on payment, refund and escrow can be found in the Escrow overview.

The KYC process

Identity verification is carried out by our specialised partner Dataspike. Dataspike is ISO 27001, ISO 27017 and ISO 27018 certified and processes identity data in line with the GDPR.

What happens in the KYC process:

• upload of an official identity document (passport, identity card, residence permit, driving licence depending on country of origin)
• automated authenticity check of the document using AI-based analysis (detection of forgery and manipulation)
• OCR capture of document data such as name, date of birth and document number
• liveness check with biometric face comparison, including deepfake detection
• screening against international sanctions and PEP lists

Verification is usually completed automatically within seconds. In individual cases an additional manual review is carried out by our Safety team.

Document data is used exclusively for verification. It is stored in encrypted form, is not passed on to third parties and is not hosted in the United States. Details on processing and retention periods are provided in the Privacy Policy.

Client verification

Not only escorts but also clients can have themselves verified. This gives escorts additional safety and makes bookings easier.

gingr.ch distinguishes three tiers:

• T1: verified email address
• T2: additionally verified phone number
• T3: additionally complete KYC check with an official identity document

For each booking, escorts can decide which minimum tier they require. The higher the tier, the more context the escort has about the person behind the enquiry.

Credit check for invoice payments

For bookings paid by invoice, gingr.ch carries out a credit check on the client through our Swiss partner CRIF. Payment capacity and the existence of any debt enforcement or collection entries are reviewed.

This check only applies to clients who wish to pay by invoice. For all other payment methods and for escorts, no CRIF query is carried out.

Residence and work permit requirements

Escort work is legal in Switzerland as long as it is carried out voluntarily. Requirements differ according to nationality:

• Swiss nationals may operate without additional authorisation.
• Nationals of EU and EFTA states may operate under the Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons. For self-employed activity or longer stays, cantonal notification rules apply.
• Nationals of third states require a valid work permit. Without such a permit, operating on gingr.ch is not possible.

Compliance with cantonal notification and authorisation obligations is the responsibility of the escort. gingr.ch checks identity and residence status as part of the KYC process but does not guarantee cantonal compliance in every individual case.

Re-verification

Verification data must remain up to date. gingr.ch requires a new check when:

• the uploaded identity document expires
• material profile information changes, such as name or date of birth
• there are indications of abuse or manipulation
• the profile has been inactive for a long period

Re-verification follows the same process as the initial check and typically takes only a few minutes.

Consequences of missing or failed verification

Without a successfully completed KYC process, a profile cannot be listed publicly. In concrete terms:

• The profile remains in draft status and is not visible to other users.
• Booking and chat features are not available.
• Secondary labels such as Age Verified, Content Verified or Secure Booking are not activated.

If verification fails, a notification is sent with the reason. The procedure may be repeated unless there are indications of fraud or manipulation.

In case of a reasonable suspicion of forged documents, identity theft or circumvention of age verification, the profile is permanently suspended and the case is handled in accordance with our Anti-Trafficking Policy.

Data protection

Processing of verification data is carried out in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Detailed information on legal bases, retention periods and your rights is provided in the Privacy Policy.
