Your work model on gingr.ch is not set in stone. If your situation changes, you can switch between Core, Self-Employed and Employment. This page shows you when a profile upgrade makes sense and how the switch works.

When an upgrade makes sense

Many escorts start on the Core Plan because entry is easiest. As activity grows, the question arises: do I want to keep managing everything myself, or is a switch worthwhile? Three typical situations: you book regularly and want the legal security of the Employment Plan; you are already self-employed and want to benefit from Secure Booking; you change residence or residence status and need to adjust your model.

UPGRADE PATHS

Upgrade paths at a glance

Core to Employment

You give up sole responsibility and become employed. Employment contract, payroll and social insurance run through gingr.ch. Requirement: Swiss citizen, Swiss residence permit (E1) or EU/EFTA passport (E2).

Core to Self-Employed

You remain self-employed but benefit from Secure Booking and platform processing. Requirement: AHV confirmation as self-employed or commercial register entry.

Employment to Self-Employed

Once your self-employment is registered, you can switch from Employment. Administration is then your responsibility; the Service Fee drops from 15% to 12%.

Employment E2 to E1

If you receive a residence permit after 90 days in Switzerland, you can switch to open-ended Employment E1.

How a switch works

You can initiate the switch in your Workmodel Dashboard or request it directly from the gingr.ch team. Depending on the target model you need additional documents: for Employment the residence permit or EU/EFTA passport; for Self-Employed the AHV confirmation or commercial register entry. The team guides the switch and contacts you once all documents are in place. Approval of the new model usually takes a few working days.

What changes when you switch

Your profile, reviews and client history are retained. What changes is the billing logic: Service Fee, Secure Booking, payout route and legal framework. The switch is invisible to clients. They still see your familiar profile. You immediately benefit from the advantages of the new model.

Frequently asked questions about profile upgrade

Will I lose my reviews if I switch?
No. All reviews, your profile history and your regular clients are retained.
Can I switch back?
Yes, in most cases. The reverse switch (Employment to Core) is possible but requires the same legal steps as initial onboarding.
How long does a switch take?
Usually a few working days after complete submission of all documents.
Are there costs for switching?
No. The switch itself is free. Only the ongoing costs change according to the new model.
Do I need to stay in the model for a minimum period before I can switch?
For E1 the employment-law notice periods apply. For all other switches there are no lock-in periods.
Can I switch while I have open bookings?
Yes. The switch takes effect for new bookings. Ongoing or already confirmed bookings are settled under the old model.
