On gingr.ch you have three ways to organise your work: the Core Plan for an easy start, the Employment Plan as an employee, and the Self-Employed Plan as an independent. This page compares the legal, financial and administrative differences in detail.

WORK MODELS

Which model is right for you?

Your choice depends on three factors: your nationality and residence status, your existing legal structure, and how much administration you want to handle yourself. The Core Plan is the simplest start with no service fee, but requires full personal responsibility. The Employment Plan takes administration off your hands, including social insurance and pension provision. The Self-Employed Plan is for escorts who are already self-employed and want to benefit from Secure Booking.

What Secure Booking means for you

Secure Booking is the main difference between the Core Plan and the other two models. With Secure Booking, payment runs through the platform, cancellations are regulated and gingr.ch handles processing. If a client does not show up, you are still protected.

Core Plan

In the Core Plan you handle payment and cancellations directly with the client. That is simpler, but carries more risk.

Employment Plan

In the Employment and Self-Employed Plan, Secure Booking is active automatically. That applies whether the client pays on the platform or externally, directly to you. Financial processing runs through Gingr in both cases.

Self-Employed Plan

In the Employment and Self-Employed Plan, Secure Booking is active automatically. That applies whether the client pays on the platform or externally, directly to you. Financial processing runs through Gingr in both cases.

This table is for guidance only, not legal advice. Special cases (for example double taxation for cross-border workers or specific permit types) should be discussed with a qualified professional.

If you want to understand the legal framework in more depth, you will find a detailed overview on the page about the legal framework in Switzerland .

Frequently asked questions about work models

Can I switch between models?
Yes. You can adjust your model later if your situation changes. For example, from the Core Plan to the Employment Plan once you want to hand over administration. The switch is supported by the gingr.ch team.
What is the difference between E1 and E2 in the Employment Plan?
E1 is a permanent employment contract open to all escorts with a Swiss residence permit or Swiss passport. E2 is a fixed-term contract for a maximum of 90 days per year for EU/EFTA citizens without a Swiss residence permit.
Do I already need to be self-employed for the Self-Employed Plan?
Yes. A prerequisite is either an AHV confirmation of self-employment or a commercial register entry. Without this proof the Self-Employed Plan is not available.
Which model is most advantageous tax-wise?
That depends on your personal situation. There is no general answer. In the Employment Plan withholding tax runs automatically (E2) or you pay income tax normally (E1). In the Self-Employed Plan and Core Plan you are responsible for your own tax return.
Which tasks does gingr.ch handle, and which stay with me?
That depends on the model. In the Employment Plan gingr.ch handles the employment contract, payroll, social insurance and cantonal registration. In the Self-Employed Plan AHV registration, bookkeeping and taxes stay with you, while gingr.ch handles payment processing and Secure Booking. In the Core Plan you manage almost everything yourself. You can find the exact breakdown in the responsibilities table above.
How much administration do I have in the Self-Employed Plan?
More than in the Employment Plan, less than in the Core Plan. You register once with the AHV as self-employed, keep simple accounts and declare your income in the tax return. Payment processing, cancellation management and Secure Booking run through gingr.ch.

Once you have decided, you can register directly. You choose your work model during onboarding and can adjust it later.
